FAMILY REUNION June 20, 2009
In memory of my paternal grandparents, Bryan Woodrow and Eula Faye Young, their descendents came together at Waurika Lake in Oklahoma, on Saturday, June 20, 2009, to eat and socialize with one another. Descendents included sons and daughters, aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
My grandparents had seven children: Roy, Dan, Sherry, Gary, twins Linda Lou and Carol Sue, and Lynn Jay. Of those seven, two of my father's siblings have already passed away: Sherry and Carol Sue.
BBQ was cooked on site for the noon meal and catfish with hush puppies was fried up for the evening meal. Potato salad, macaroni salad, cornbread salad, and many other side dishes were served, along with many various homemade desserts.
